November 2003
We have been working at Right Coast Recording Studio in Pennsylvania during
the last few years. We met the partners at a music conference and have been
working with them ever since. We have been engineering, producing, and
writing for various TV/Film/Commercial/ and band projects. Most recently we
recorded radio spots for a few stations in Europe. It's been a lot of fun
getting to experiment musically on these different projects.
Sophomore CD
We have been writing and recording as much as possible as of late. We have a
few more songs that we would like to record before we move on to the next
step, choosing which songs fit together best as an album (yes, we
still call them albums). Some songs will make this album, and some will
have to wait for the next one. Some of them may make us say 'what the hell
were we thinking'! Then we will put the finishing touches on our sophomore
effort. We will be thrilled to finally concentrate on playing out to support
it.
Lou Reed Compilation
Radio Caroline was picked to be included on a Lou Reed Compilation disk.
Wampus Multimedia (www.wampus.com) released the tribute CD early in 2003. Our
version of Pale Blue Eyes made the final cut. There are also a lot of great
Lou Reed covers from bands around the world. The compilation has recieved
many positive reviews. We have been mentioned in several of them, which
has been very nice. There will be a show in DC to showcase a few of the
bands on the release. We will have more details as they develop.
2003 Millennium Music Conference:
Radio Caroline was selected for the third year in a row to showcase at the
MMC in Harrisburg. The show was held at the Appalachian Brewing Company.
All Over Europe
The legendary European radio station from which Radio Caroline borrowed their
name has been featuring several of the band's songs on their programs. The
radio station's signal reaches several million people in numerous countries
throughout Europe and the World. The station can also be heard on the
internet 24/7 at http://listen.to/radiocaroline. This should be a huge
opportunity for the band, please keep your fingers crossed.
January 2003
In late 2001 we moved out of our old recording studio in Baltimore. We had to
find, buy, and build a new one all over again. This took quite a long time.
By early 2003 we were up and running again in Baltimore. During this time we
also began working at Right Coast Recording Studio in Pennsylvania.
